  • THE OBJECTIVE

The activity is intended as a promotional fundraising campaign. We hope to be able to help raise RM 80,000 for SRJK (C) Jinjang Tengah II as a fund for upgrading and repairing the school facilities. This activity aims to arouse public awareness to the educational level of our next generation; helping each other; and sow the seed of hope for the future society.

  • THE THEME

In Malaysia there are many government-funded (semi-subsidised) schools. The annual subsidies are much lower than the school’s actual needs. School facilities and the purchase of teaching materials need to be independently borne by the Board of Directors or the Persatuan Ibu-bapa dan Guru (PIBG). For schools in poverty areas aren’t able to be independent. Books and teaching materials are far below the required level. Students are denied a fair learning opportunity.

This theme focuses on the allocation of educational resources in Malaysia to produce a public interest short-film that can touch people’s hearts and reflect on the issue of education.

LET US AROUSE THE IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION IN THE SOCIETY TOGETHER
PLANTING HOPE FOR THE FUTURE SOCIETY THAT COULD CHANGE DESTINY

In the age of digitalisation in the 21st century, the pace of social renewal is increasing rapidly. 4G network hasn’t been around for long 5G era is coming. The revolution of technology will explode again. Artificial intelligence (AI) will replace more labour productivity i.e. driving, production and delivery. AI is a perfect substitute for human and this speed of social civilisation has accelerated the development of society. Nevertheless, it also will eliminate low-skilled workers and make them unsustainable!

None of us could prevent the world’s development. In order to avoid elimination we need to advance together with the times. The bottom line of a society is not on how much oil or resources or foreign exchange reserves available, but how many talented workforce! After World War II ended in 1945, Japan and Germany were defeated. Many buildings were destroyed. The nations suffered misery beyond words. No one could have expected in just six decades they return to be on top of the world; Japan is now the world’s third largest economy and Germany becomes the most advanced industrialised country. Germany said at the end of WWII, as long as our talents are still here we can make a comeback. From this we can see that talents determine a nation’s fate. Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei, “No matter how poor we can’t stop funding education. We must attract ‘excellent’ talent to train ‘better’ talent. Otherwise it will trigger ‘Matthew Effect’. Highly excellent people aren’t willing to become educator and nurture the next generation.

But now even those low-income schools are struggling, so how could they afford to retain excellent educators? In Malaysia, there are many government-funded (semi-subsidised) schools. Please help our next generation. The backbone of our society is going downhill. The lifeblood of our society is experiencing unprecedented crisis.

On 27th July Genesis Business Group will join hands with SRJK (C) Jinjang Tengah II in a Charity Bazaar as the organiser and sponsor of all the activities. Together, we will arouse Malaysian to pay more attention to school issues and help SRJK (C) Jinjang Tengah II to rebuild four basic projects: library, science lab, recreation room and toilet. Genesis Business Group hereby would like to appeal to our community from all walks of life to participate actively.
